My opinion writing idea about not using Plastic stuff - Agree

PLASTIC SHOULDN'T BE USED

FOR CONTAINERS

AND STRAWS AND

OTHER THINGS

(Agree)

Sea turtles are eating ocean plastic because it smells like food: StudyDo you like turtles? you

shouldn’t use plastic because

it has the ingredients they are

made from materials such as

cellulose, coal, natural gas,

salt and crude oil through a

polymerisation process.

Plastics are derived from natural,

organic materials such as cellulose,

coal, natural gas, salt and, of course,

crude oil.

Plastic is used for so many things

and it’s everywhere.

We use plastic for items such

as straw, containers, cups,

plates, chairs, phones

(all sorts of devices), desks, wrapping,

buckets, pools, laminating, books,

cars, toys, plastic utensils.

We do not have to use plastic for

these things.

We need to use more cardboard!

Well, you know we could stop global

warming quite a wee bit if we actually

stopped using so much plastic products!

They pollute the environment so much

and it is not good for your health either.

We should use Plastic (a disagree idea)

We should use plastic cause it keeps

food and products moist and it's good

for packaging and other things like

it won't disintegrate so we can make

toys and we all can have toys.

Our first draft of opinion writing

We have been looking at models of writing for sharing your opinion.

Let us know if you agree with our opinion.

PLASTIC SHOULDN'T BE USED FOR CONTAINERS AND STRAWS AND OTHER THINGS

You shouldn’t use plastic because it has the ingredients they are  made from natural materials such as cellulose, coal, natural gas, salt and crude oil through a polymerisation or polycondensation process. Plastics are derived from natural, organic materials such as cellulose, coal, natural gas, salt and, of course, crude oil.

People use this for items

such as straw, containers,cups,

plates,chairs,

phones (all sorts of devices),

desks, wrapping, buckets,

pools, laminating, books,

cars, toys, plastic utensils

and so on.

Well you know we could

stop global warming

quite a lot if we actually

stopped using plastic

products that pollute

the environment.

My speech

The last 5 weeks we have done work with Toastmasters learning about speeches and how you stand and do the talking, and also about how you do stuff when you are in a committee meeting.

This is my last speech.

Hi my name is Quinn. You may have noticed it's spring.

Have you ever seen a calf being born?
Or more to the point being pulled out of the cow when they have trouble being born?
This is how it goes.
Firstly you tie a special farm string around whatever is sticking out.
Hopefully is the legs because if it's the head you have to push the head back in and try to grab the legs. It's hard for the cow when the cow is trying hard to push the calf out to.
Also if the cow jumps up while you're trying to pull the calf out then you have to follow the cow around and still try to get the calf out.
Sometimes it's good because when the cow walks away it can help the calf come out.
If you have enough strength the calf will come out and be born. If the cow is standing it falls on the ground, then the cow comes and licks the calf. This is good for the calf because it cleans it and starts to warm it up.
The cow eats the after birth because it is good for the cows insides and gives her back nutrients.

My name is Quinn and I hope you now know something about how calves are born when the cow is having trouble.

My Spirolateral Design

We were learning about how numbers look in a pattern.  We saw how keeping going with a pattern of numbers makes a spirolateral and you have to try and make it so the pattern finishes where it started.

We did some on paper then we used this site https://starstew.github.io/spirolateral/spirolateral_explorer.html

I can't remember the numbers I use but I think you could work it out by how long the pieces are.
