My Spirolateral Design

We were learning about how numbers look in a pattern.  We saw how keeping going with a pattern of numbers makes a spirolateral and you have to try and make it so the pattern finishes where it started.

We did some on paper then we used this site https://starstew.github.io/spirolateral/spirolateral_explorer.html

I can't remember the numbers I use but I think you could work it out by how long the pieces are.

  1. Well done creating a clear design here Quinn. Do you remember what numbers you used to make the pattern?
If you do another one, try adding the colours and see how it makes your design look!
Thanks for sharing your work Quinn

  2. Hiya Quinn,
My interpretation of your drawing is that it appears to be a cog for a bike. Maybe you could develop your idea further in some creative way.
    Top points for effort Quinn.

  4. Kia ora Quinn!

I like your design it reminds me of a pinwheel you might get at a community fair, takes me back to when I was a kid pinwheels and candy floss. I agree with Miss J some colours would make it look great.
